Bay Area based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Andrew Levin has delighted audiences across the globe with his unique and soulful approach to music. Immediately upon graduation of college in 2012, Andrew embarked on a full-time music career in the multicultural and countercultural center of Oakland. Equally adept at a multitude of styles, his projects have supported artists ranging from Third Eye Blind to Lauryn Hill and have performed at venues like Outside Lands and the Paramount Theater. His genre bending approach to composition will immediately appeal to fans of artists like Radiohead, Moses Sumney, and Kindness.
Andrew grew up in the Bay Area and learned to play the piano and guitar at an early age. Too stubborn to stay in Los Angeles where he studied music, he found work teaching guitar back in his home town in the Bay Area. He quickly became a staple of the Northern California music community and was performing 4-5 nights per week with a multitude of bands. Through this lifestyle of working with many musicians from different backgrounds, he found his own voice. His songs are firmly rooted in his personal story of building a life around music and overcoming trauma.
In addition to writing his own music, Andrew has been a creative member of a number of projects including the Kev Choice Ensemble, Emily Afton, and the Jazz Mafia. He has also performed and recorded with the likes of Jody Watley, Terrace Martin, Hans Zimmer, Lyrics Born, Zion i, and countless others. He currently spends his time working on music and sound effects for the game giant Ubisoft as well as writing his own music and performing throughout the community.
